the visitor was my first project after moving to copenhagen, created in a time of transition between languages and places. using quotes from olga ravn’s de ansatte, icelandic quotes stand alone to evoke the frustration of not understanding, while danish quotes layer on transparent pages to mirror the noise of immersion without belonging. The book becomes a portrait of being a guest—suspended between belonging and distance.
